Chris, I am really interested in hearing about student teachers who have worked with laptops in the classroom (as next year my students will all have a laptop). Do you find it difficult to get students to put their computers away or are they used to lessons that involve no use of ICT? I like the idea of a class wiki! really good way to get students to take responsibility for their work! In one of my placement schools, I borrowed notebooks for my class but the downfall of these were that they took such a long time to load that half the lesson was gone! Additionally, at this school, at times I was in a class without a data projector! Boy is it missed! I am in total agreement with you in regards to VCE curriculum and exams and how this doesn't coincide with increased ICT use - interesting point!
Well done Chris, some interesting food for thought. And novel use of ICT within the presentation, of course!
